My Story

Mary P. Thomas, Founder of Test Prep Simplified, has implemented her 24 years of experience in education to create simple, proven, and unique ACT and SAT Prep programs.

Mary ranked 4th in her high school graduating class and
graduated with High Honors with a Bachelor's Degree in Education from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio.
She has taught and tutored thousands of students ages 4 through 18.

As a mother of three teens, Mary understands the value of parent feedback and has designed her test prep courses around what parents and students truly need and want: a concise, stress-free, strategy-filled, confidence boosting session.

In 2006, recognizing a growing demand for test prep, Mary began teaching prep for various standardized tests. In 2012, she began the daunting task of ACT prep with her first student, Taylor, in a Starbucks. Feeling overwhelmed by the test itself, a plethora of strategies and the vast amount of resources available, she began to synthesize and simplify the test, the strategies, and the materials into one concise program.

Now

Nine years later, Mary's business has boomed with students from over one hundred high schools. The program has been honed into a short, effective, stress-free, course which appeals to the masses.
At the beginning of each course Mary guarantees her students that by the end of the course she will lower anxiety and boost confidence. At the conclusion when Mary asks her students if the goal was met, they always say "yes" with a smile and breathe a sigh of relief...
